Robert Penn Bradly
Robert Penn Bradly, the
author, has been a motoring writer since the mid
1980’s and contributor to car club magazines for over 40
years. He has a passion for motor cars and is
particularly interested in rare and quality, low volume
production cars, especially if of the luxury or sporting
segments. He has a desire to see that such cars are
restored both authentically and to original
specification. He also has a strong belief that all
older cars and utilities be regularly used to ensure
their reliability and long term viability.
He was a founder member of the
Australian Armstrong Siddeley Car Club in 1960
and also a founder of the Daimler and Lanchester Owners
Car Club in 1971, The Classic and Specialist Car Club of
Northern NSW in 1975, and the ACT branch of the Rolls
Royce and Bentley Club in 1983. He is regarded as a
specialist valuer and has on numerous occasions been
required to value cars for Court proceedings. Robert has
been a feature writer for the National magazine
“Restored Cars” since the mid 1990’s, and has produced a
raft of stories on all manner of specialist and rare
cars for Restored Cars and other major motoring
magazines
Whilst he has had many rare cars over
many year, his prime love has been Armstrong Siddeley
cars, of which he has worked on and restored many
examples representing many eras.
